Shenandoah University was founded in 1875 and acquired University status on January 1, 1991.The university has about 4000 students. The main school is music School, located in Virginia, USA. The school is located in Winchester city.[1]
The University was founded in Dayton, Virginia, in 1875 by the Rev. Abram Paul Von Khouse and The Rev. John Jay Paul Frith as the Shenandoah Theological Seminary.The Shenandoah Theological Seminary became junior College in 1924 and was renamed Shenandoah College the following year.The Shenandoah Conservatory became an independent company in 1937 and began awarding four-year degrees.In 1960, The Shenandoah College and the Shenandoah Conservatory of Music moved to the 126-acre Winchester campus and began offering four-year degrees in 1974 (when the College merged with the Conservatory company).Shenandoah gained university status on January 1, 1991.[1-3]
